Grisedale Pike : view north over Coledale
The line of hills on the other side of Coledale comprises Barrow, Stile End and Outerside. Beyond them is Rowling End and Causey Pike. Cat Bells is directly above Rowling End.
Far left is Ullister Hill with its covering of Whinlatter forest : Skiddaw at centre, of course, this time with distant Blencathra lost in the mist : very distant Great Mell Fell is faintly visible above the lake.
Looking ahead, down Sleet How, we see Braithwaite village peeping above Kinn with the A66 curving off to Portinscale and Keswick
Derwent Water is unmistakeable, the dark shape beyond it being Walla Crag, with Bleaberry Fell off to the right
